Standing out here
in the cold
in front of this bar,
freshly laden rain over all the sidewalks and asphalt,
wrapped in the
comfort of fuzzy woven cotton
and the comfort of a comfortably
easy drunk
in the company of these (borderline)
obnoxiously drunken
bar-patrons
under the citystarlight-

and I smile,
contented,
for now.
