Swimming
Swimming is forgetting,
Every doubt gone
With every stroke
The calm stillness of the water,
The ripples caused by a swift dive
Swimming is ritual,
Repeating the act
Until you can't remember anymore
The anxious waves you cause,
The crash of the frantic water
Swimming is hope,
Trying to win
In the race against your thoughts
Moving faster,
Swifter,
Forgetting with every stroke,
Disturbing the water even more
Slowing down,
All my doubts are gone,
My head is clear
