to write a song
to join two auras
-music and madness-
together
if only i had the power to do so
in a way that was palpable to others
instead, i'll write my thoughts
or trace them, rather,
into the black sand of the void beach
that rests upon the top of my cerebral cortex,
knowing good and well that they won't last forever,
but will instead be washed away by wind and waves alike,
leaving me to breathe easy
the birthing process complete
a labor of love and heartache
expelled, leaving space
for the next vessel of word *****
to litter the shore
