On Friday,
I found out that I have only gained
four pounds since the last time
I went to the weight loss center,
which was last year.
I have celebrated for four days.
I am all smiles and renewed energy,
going out for long walks
and doing yoga
at 5 a.m.,
eating healthy foods, taking my vitamins
again.
I wonder what this says
about my self-esteem
and my perspective on what really matters.
It's a measurement. Just four pounds,
apparently, is what happiness weighs.
