Thoughts of a Law-Abiding Citizen

I'm trapped in the structure

Of this, that, and the other thing.

I'm bounded by lines

And wrapped up in strings

Your regulations

Stake me to the earth

I may never see

Society's worth.

I'm tired of laws

That do not make sense

I'm sick of these rules

Of white picket fence

Lives, lived

Vicariously

Through those who break rules,

Through those who are free
