Don't tell me "people change"
Don't tell that you're different,
You've always acted strange
You became so inconsistent.

You left my world destroyed,
My broken pieces not recovered,
Your lies have taught me,
You're nothing like the others.
Despondent you left me,
With the words you left unspoken,
For the words now metaphorically resemble a knife,
That blade cut me deep when you walked out of my life,
Both of us now have to face your consequences,
That's ******* both the of us,
but I've decided to let go,
It ought to be for the best,
But we will not quite ever know.

Your choices will define you,
For they make you who you are,
And I'm not prepared to sit there and let you tear my world apart.
