In the eyes of the trees,
We're just like the fallen leaves.
Like the wind after the storm,
Like the silence without a form.

We're simply ignorant,
And to the Earth, malignant.
No thought of consequence,
Was brought by our incompetence.

The Sun lends us a helping hand,
To see what we've done to our land,
And all we see, we ignore,
We're all but children, of war...
