I long to sing for you
Sweet tunes that'll ring in your ear
Long after I'm gone
But years of drunken experience
Assure me,
That I can't
I long to climb exotic mountains with you
Strong winds send your hair on an adventure
A sight that will last
In distant memory
But muffled groans from creaking bones
Assure me
That I cant
I long to embrace you
But a four and half hour time distance
And pathetic bank balance
Assure me
That I cant
So I do what I can
Draw your image with my minds hand
And in (vain?) effort to make you smile,
I write.
