Bad News
I read the news today.
I thought I was dreaming,
Then I started to cry,
When I realized I would never wake up.
The world turned to shades of gray,
That day I read that you were gone.
You were my best friend,
The only one that knew me better than anyone.
I don't understand how God could take you away so young,
Or how the world could be so gray.
I will miss your smile and your laugh.
The way you did things, that silly little dance.
The golden heart that beat in your chest.
