Venus was shining
so bright and beautiful
this morning,
she reminded me of you.

With stars in your hair,
and moonlight on your face;
lady of the solstice,
cast your spell.

Neither a late autumn moon
Nor stars blazing winter bright...
Not even flowers in the snow
have anything on you.

Entranced
like a moth and its flame
I circle round…
you, Venus and I the moon.
