The Railroad Tracks

I dreamt of you last night.

I was following

the railroad tracks

into town.

But it was different,

run down, dilapidated

abandoned.

I wandered into a shop

and there you were

behind the counter.

We hugged.

I told you

that I had always loved you.

We walked back down

the railroad tracks

into dreams.
