Like an ant which dies
When it bites a man
You will die the moment
You write a poem

The ant doesn’t live again
But you live in the heart
And soul ofΒ Β us when
we read your poem

Like God your poem
Is an abstract idea
Rather than a concrete thing
we interpret IT in our own way

You wipe out our tears,
console our fears
incite ,ignite, instruct
delight and even confuse us

Like Jesus rose from the dead
You rise again and again
In the human intellect
And live for posterity and eternity
