Maybe next time.
What cruel twist of fate it is
that our paths were meant to cross
at a time when everything aligned
and conspired at our cost
We convince ourselves "another time,
a different life, some other place"
because karmic interference
is easier to face.
I wonder will there come a time
the pain becomes so great
that you abandon life with one unloved
and pursue a leap of faith
You see I lack the strength I need
to turn and walk away
and so I sit and wait in hope
you'll come to me one day.
