summer
Woodbine spillage
Into overgrown narrows
Butterfly wings unfold to rest,
Raw essence in parallel pattern
Settling on summer's searing breast,
Bare flesh
and forget-me-not promise
Always remembered and kept.
A few words for a few days of sun
