Nothing is wrong when
               the trees remember to smile
and birds have a place to
               roost for the winter

Nothing is wrong when
life bubbles up and over lids
          of eyes well-versed in late-night
          conversation

Nothing is wrong when
                       she catches someone's gaze and
neither one of them feels the need
                       to look away

Nothing is wrong on hammocks set
    deep in the green

            But everything is wrong today
