You're a ****
And I'm a fool.
What type of mad man is at work?
As you text me I'm powerless against the lull.

But how cruel are you to talk about her?
Ask me for advise about her, advise that I wish you'd use on me...

And if that makes you a ****,
Then it makes me a fool.

But why can't you see?
Why won't you acknowledge my look?
The look I tell you to look for in her,
The look of love?

Maybe I'm the ****..
And you're the fool.

I had my chance but blew it away
Like the wind did to us as we sat above the fair.
Maybe you didn't notice it,
but when I pulled away there was hurt and pain.

Cause I knew what you didn't,
I knew you didn't love me and right now I know I'm paying.
I looked away afraid of a painful future only to turn to the heart aching present.

If you're a **** then I'll proudly play the fool for you any day
Because that's what love is.

but I'm a happy fool.

Because everyday I see you smile as you talk about her
And although you don't see me like her,
In my dreams I am her.
