Sleeves
A soul crushing loneliness
like the feeling of a sudden hurricane,
forcing you up and out of your home;
warm and safe.
And all along the wet streets
my heart hangs from sleeves, ready for slaying,
trusting all, too much, too soon;
but why wait?
