Anything (With you, To You, For You)

by pinklets

i wish i could do anything i wanted to for you. dance together, travel far, take me to my first bar, with you. paint a picture, write a song, turn it into a sing-a-long, it's true. we'd be together finally, the miles wouldn't be stopping me, from you. i'd slow down the clock, you see to see your face eternally, to live inside this memory, the only place i can be, with you. in my dreams, we never part arm in arm, from the start, with you. you hold me close, i'll kiss your nose, close our eyes, the warmth does grow, it's true. i wish i spoke your language well, pictures & colors all could tell, to you. they'd tell, to you. red trees towered high, flowers growing in the sky, numbers running out of time, a glass filled with books i'd write, to you. a house made of bread & mold, with little folks just growing old, stars crying with the moon, wishing they were next to, you. i'd paint, for you. we'd be together finally, the miles wouldn't be stopping me, from you. *we'd be together finally, the miles seem to be stopping me, from you.*
