When will you feel the need,
to have Him by your side?
to walk in truth and honesty,
and by His laws abide?

When will you feel the urge,
to cast aside your sinning;
and walk with love instead of hate,
and start a new beginning?

To declare you've had enough,
of the glitter of the city;
of its obvious pretensions,
we only can have pity.

There's a higher calling in you,
than the drugs or endless drink;
a safer refuge from the world,
so much closer than you think.

He stands at the door and knocks,
if you let Him, He'll come in;
and you'll wonder why you waited,
and He'll ask you where you've been.
