i'm so sorry
my dear little darling

that i couldn't protect you
from the flame and the cold

maybe you could come home
and live here with me
in my closet
and you could make my dresses smell like your cute little perfume bottles
and your sweet deoderant sticks

i miss your skinny body, holding you in my arms
girly
you were my daughter
my mother
my sister

don't ever let anyone tell you to stop being you
