Watching dizzying swirls
on iron drains filling,
splashing dazed onlookers
which I am
Dampening shoes to socks,
newspapers overhead
shredding in the downpour,
papyrus leaf shapes
floating like champagne bubbles
hypnotize my thoughts
till I swim for the shoreline
where you stand,
providing the sun
I so dearly miss
