If I Wrote You a Poem

If I wrote you a poem

To show you how I feel

You more than anyone

Should know that's an ordeal

Even though I can't tell you

How I feel inside

I want to say i love you

Step up and swallow my pride

I know that you might never know

But you can't say I didn't try

I wish to say hello

But all I can say is goodbye
