Grey clouds fill the black above,
Darkness reigns where once was love,
Hatred taints that peaceful dove,
These lives no more fit like a glove.

Black skies turning slowly red,
No time to sleep but think instead,
This swollen cloud that fills my head,
As shadows cross this empty bed.

Red horizon turning blue,
A time for change not just in hue,
A chance for life to start anew,
A brand new dawn for me and you.

White clouds cover all I see,
The future laid in front of me,
Behind me ancient history,
Those distant days of misery.

Stars beyond that cloudy sky,
Far above where angels fly,
Shining down on you and I,
To help us give love one more try.
