Mother's Day
Photographs
in black and white
of you
adorn my walls
where your lips are dark
your hair is curled
a baby's
on your hip
and your eyes
are black and
plum
as dark as every
cup of coffee
and chocolate covered
orange
It's my first
Mother's day
without you
sans you
missing you
profoundly
You just
exist in
photographs
and endless
memories.
