A whisper

I sit within myself loosely

Like crumpled sheets

Waiting to be made

A song laid out

Semi quaver (dis)chord

Waiting to be played

A whisper

Caught between

Tongue and lip

I am whiskey

Sipped

Then spilled

Time killed

I am paused

Mid flight

A Pheonix

Rising

Covered in ash
