A NEW WAY TO FALL.
The canvas
of hearts,
break,
spilling,
sparks,
and candle light,
until weariness,
births,
dirges of
yesterday,
in silent parks,
and empty cars,
and forgotten streets,
and tears,
streaming down
your cheeks
while you drive
home, broken,
and alone.

-but we fly
as high as
these paper wings
will carry us,
until they burn,
and we learn,
a new way to fall.
