I feel a glimpse of a memory
The slightest scratch in your tone
Try and see the crevices
That I once knew like my own

All of the chills rush once more
Through every inch of me
I then wander to find your presence
& realize you're no longer mine to see

I sometimes feel at ease
Pretend to think I'm better without you
Truth is you never even realized
All of the pain I am going through

If I were to go back
There's little to no hope you'd be the same
We lost ourselves in each other
All that's left is our picture in a frame

When our love died, he became a ghost
We are not only haunted by the dead
The ones who we've lost & go on fine without you
Are the ones who make you regret and ache alone in your bed

Reaching for someone's hand who is no longer there
Reflects how painful it is to lose  a person in any form
Only faint memories are left
And heart that is forever torn
