Oh, you are my life
and without you I am a dead thing
for without you I will bring
my poor life to a short end
and I will ride on a chariot
to the underworld.
Oh, the pain of my heart break
is far more then I can bear.
Oh, when I look upon you
my heart's longing is more than I can bear.
You are the beginning of my soul's creation
and your loss will be it's ending.
Oh, when I hear the gentle rain
and gentle clash of thunder
of a soft summer rain
it reminds me of your gentle fingertips
upon my face
and the gentle sound of your voice
more lovely than the voice of the song birds in spring.
Oh, my heart is connected to you
by tiny invisible threads stronger than steel.
Oh, if you take all hope of love from me
my heart and soul will depart with you
and I shall be a hollow empty thing
as though my heart were a drum
with a hollow ringing sound.
Oh, your love and gentle touch
is as a gentle breeze
blown across my face
from a summer's rain.
All my breathe and all my hope
I find within you.
you are an everlasting song sung by my heart.
A song of hope and pleading.
Oh, let me love you.
This I only ask.
You are my only desire
and without you all hope is gone.
