I told you not to turn your back on my flames
just because you were done toasting yourself
on the heated whispers of my kindling.

If you had been keeping watch,
you would've seen me thumb a ride from the wind that carried my embers to him.

And I would've seen myself reflected in your eyes
as I burned you both alive with my indifference.
