I floated down
the rocky ridge
zephyr-like
in a trance.

Nearly touching the stars,
I counted llamas
scavenging
the maize slopes.
It was pure solitude
there,
above the navel
of planet Earth.

Scooting on
alone,
I listened
to my breaths,
felt each beat
of my pumping-heart
& forgot about
life for a moment
back in the world.
