We
We are all the same in so many ways
Having the same game
Just trying to lay claim
All our backs up against the wall
Day to day trying not to fall
Keeping our heads up just to walk to tall
We are all the same
So many of us having the same name
Maybe looking for someone else to blame
And looking for just a little fame
We all bleed red
Right up until the time we are dead
Which is something we all dread
But it is ahead
We are all the same
Looking for a flame
Not wanting anything to disclaim
Sure not framed
We are just trying to live
Maybe wanting to give
Needing to forgive
Maybe sometimes wanting to relive
White, Black, Gay or Straight
When you see me
I will see you
We are all the same
That is something we all need to claim .........
