I
Decomposition. It's not a pretty word. Latin in origin, with a touch of French; almost literal in English as "undo." We're all adults here - we know of the fragility of life, the tragedy of death, and their ever-present relationship. As a kid, though, you don't think about how rot grows, or how death approaches. It's not an end. It's not a new beginning. It's another season. Death is scary because it's more powerful than its counterpart. Death is faster, stronger, better, and more consistent. It grows rapidly, as it's had much practice on our planet, and much time to grow. We live as we die; its prey. Death is the ultimate hunter. It's no wonder we feel inferior.
