Daily dreams
slipping through
the seams with you
into my life
as beams of light
from the rising sun
illuminate
the things with you
only the darkness knew
and waking sweat,
playfully fading,
swiftly to forget
My full days seeming empty
with unknown longing for the night
my sleepless sheets spread
as I lie waiting for the light
Too tired to sleep
lying staring at the ceiling
dreams steal me under
another restless night alive
Sirens sound mourning
as my daily death dawns
waking within emptiness

No matter who I was with, I only dreamed of my distant goddess. My long lost love. My destiny. Always drawn back to her, even though it wasn't "right" when I was with someone else. (We ended up together, anyway.)
