More Like Jesus

Lord help me find the hope that eludes me And the faith that waivers still; But most of all God place me In your pure and perfect will. I've learned that praying selfishly Even getting what I want; Somewhere down the road I pay a higher cost. If listening to my prayers Lord You find the selfish and unwise; Then to be just say no and help me Lord To open up my eyes. Help me Lord to pray for others Instead of for myself; Help me learn to be of service Lord To those in need of help. Help me Lord be better In everything I do; I want to be more Christlike Lord I want to be like you.
