WHEN I PASS.
When I pass
the office
where once
you worked,
my son,
I look up to see
if you are there
as once I use to do
before your
sad demise,
but you are not
of course,
just the windows
as they were,
emptier now,
less meaningful,
as one who looks
into a dark abyss,
remembering
the last spoken word
and final given kiss.
A FATHER TALKS TO HIS DEAD SON.
