Full of quiet nights and trusted friends,
movie nights that never end,
starry eyes and gleaming smiles- what beautiful sights.
I shined brightest under those lights.

Dreaming about familiar streets and places,
I miss most the loving faces
of friends and family and others as dear.
Oh, to have them again so near.

Here, thousands of  miles from where I set out,
I have friends who like me, no doubt.
They're just not the same as those old and worn,
those precious ones whose distance I mourn.
