Slowly Slipping
I see you there,
in the shards of dreams.
Quietly, I walk,
but every step I take,
results in another break,
in the skies fragile skin.
I don't want to be who I am,
but there's no turning back.
I'm who I am but am I who,
you want me to be?
In the eyes of my reflection,
I see a boy,
no,
a man,
but he's trying to break free.
Nothing's quite the same anymore,
and it's not getting any better.
Fire on the skyline,
shades of days before.
I am nothing more,
than dried up, shattered dreams.
