Everything in me
Reminds me of you
Everything I see
Reminds me of you
Momma says
I'm so much like you.
I got your nose,
Your compose
But, Daddy,
What I wouldn't do
To have you.

To have you tickle me still
Like you used to
To have you fulfill
Daddy, I miss you.
Why couldn't you stay?
Every night I pray
You'll come back to me
You'll come and see
Me. I'm not the same
I'm a fiery flame
Daddy, I got strong
You left me
And that was wrong
You told me a lie
You made me cry
You didn't care
Yet
I needed you there
To tell me I'm beautiful
But daddy couldn't
Just as usual
Daddy, I don't know what to say
Because what you did
It wasn't okay.
Do you know your little girl cries?
Can you see tears in my eyes
You wanna know why

Everything in me
Reminds me of you
Everything I see
Reminds me of you
Momma says
I'm so much like you.
I got your nose,
Your compose
But, Daddy,
What I wouldn't do
To have you.

Not a thing I wouldn't do
For just one day with you
You an your southern drawl.
You and your messy scrawl
You holding me when I cry
My needs, you'd comply.
I would walk if I have to
Just for a day with you.
To be loved, by you dad
To be given
All I never had.

Everything in me
Reminds me of you
Everything I see
Reminds me of you
Momma says
I'm so much like you.
I got your nose,
Your compose
But, Daddy,
What I wouldn't do
To have you.

Daddy's gone, and he wont call
No daddy, an his southern drawl.
No daddy an his messy scrawl
No daddy and all his love
So I just pick myself up
And I get through
I just move on
And love you.
