An Australian Mermaid
I went on a voyage to the Pacific,
En route came the island of Oz,
There I rested a bit and relaxed a little.
Continuing the voyage I set sail in night,
The bunk was so comfortable for me,
In deep sleep I fell and in my dreamland I went.
**Here was that I met an Australian Mermaid,
Wise and calm she was motherly caring,
But I am so childish that she became upset.
"I am really sorry Lizzie Madam ( A fellow poet- Madam Elizabeth Squires)"
