There once was a girl
Who always dressed in blue
She closed herself away
And always stared at her shoes.

The twelve year old girl was frightened
of her fathers right hand
It caused her more pain than
anything in her life span.

At thirteen, she proclaimed that
she'd finally had more than enough,
on account of her vile habits
and of course - her parents' lack of love.

Fourteen had arrived
and she swore to never adore
"I'm sorry, sweetie, I really am
but we can't be anything more."

Fifteen was a gift wrapped
in misery, cigarettes, and age,
and in that time, she said she
was a zoo animal,
Locked within her own cage.

Sixteen she predicted to provide
the most vivacious feelings
and how satisfying it would be
to finally hang stiffly from the ceiling

There Once Was A Girl
Who Always Dressed In Blue
And Little Did Everyone Know
Her Heart Was Too.
