There’s something about putting it all on paper
That psychologically frees the mind
Writing off the shackles, speaking of melting troubles
Leaving everything behind
The words left on the paper
Our history books telling of our past
Telling of our problems, telling of our solutions
And telling them relatively fast
Writing everything down for you
And all problems start to fade
It’s like we, poets, are our own psychologist
Just wish we could get equally paid
