You asked me:
"Are you afraid of the dark?"
And I said, "Maybe."

Maybe I'm afraid,
because I don't see my hands
And I no longer know what I'm holding on to.

Maybe I'm afraid,
because I don't see my feet
And I no longer know where I'm going.

Maybe I'm afraid,
because I don't see myself
And I no longer know who I am.

But most of all,
Maybe I'm afraid,
because I don't see you anymore.

So am I afraid of the dark?
No, until I lose you in it.
