Oh, at night I sit and weep
because you are not by my side.
Oh, as my tears roll down my face
they remind me of your tiny fingertips
and my longing for your fingers upon my face
and to feel your warm embrace.
Oh, your face like a lovely vision
floats before my eyes
in my dreams of you.
Oh, to hold you in my arms
I would give my life and soul.
Oh, your heart is beyond price.
Oh, so much more than all the things of this world.
Oh, I will wait through all the days to come
for I cannot live the thought
of you not by my side.
Oh, I give this heart to you
for without you it is but a poor worthless thing.
Oh, for your sake I would give this body to be all twisted and torn!
Oh, if I had wings to fly to your side!
Oh, when other lovers leave you
all cold and forgotten
my love for you will remain.
Oh, I weep in my desire
to touch your precious and lovely face
and wrap you in my loving arms
to never let you go.
Oh, you have brought me to life
before you I was but a lonely half dead thing
that stumbled through life without hope.
Oh, without you to a lonely grave I shall return.
Oh,  with you an eternal and everlasting
music fills my soul.
A love song my heart forever sings to you.
Oh, my eternal and abiding love!
For without you I am nothing
not even dust.
