She's barely holding it in
All the time
Everyone shouting from the hillsides
Straight edged and sober
The midwife who birthed herself
Comedy outside in the sunshine
A complete place

Deflowered, they've become
To live under the strain of the cure
To be born completely
Beginning cautious unappealing
Not because we are empty inside
but, because two such things
can never be together

Against Hate
Against Despair
Sorrow, lamentation.
A gentle caress
It isn't that hard
to find peace.
