i don't want to be
owned like a slave,
told what to think
and how to behave

you think you're right
i think it's wrong
so step aside now
and moving along

i am not there yet
i am still over here
with a viral vertigo
sippin' a beer

i even brought her flowers
and now she's a no-show
looks to me like it's just another no-go

friendship is a two-way street
we tell each other our weaknesses
then pray we remain discreet
