What I Was.
Wide-eyed and goofy
a little girl,
with only
good intentions to offer.
No cares
no worries,
except what’s for lunch
or what cartoon is next.
She has no control,
she doesn’t need any.
Her smile
never leaves her face.
Her dreams
are never too big.
She’s not afraid
of what people think
or
of who’s watching.
