Oh, its too late
to turn back now!
Oh, my heart is given
and my heart is sealed.
Oh, my love pledged to you
in my soul's blood.
Oh, how my concern
for your love
has torn every fiber
of my brain,
racked and tortured my soul
within a chamber of unknowing.
Do you love me, yes?
Do you love me, no?
You at the center of my soul
you become my deepest desire.
Oh, how I have been chained
and sealed forever to your soul.
Oh, I care. How I care!
Are you happy? Are you sad?
Oh, how the flick of your single eyelash
is like an earthquake in my soul.
Oh, if only I could hold you
in my arms always
and forever keep you
from the sadness of this cruel world below
forever and evermore.
Oh, bright angel with rainbow colored wings
How this world in its darkness
deserves you not.
But oh, you like the only son
as though a woman born
are filled with such grace and love
to bring such hope and life
to this dark world below.
And fire such love in my soul.
