Who are we without another?
A query of the soul to bother....
Who's a man without his brother?
An infant girl without her mother?

Who are we without a friend:
a soul on whom we can depend
to be with us until the end
with sorrow's company to lend?

Who are we without desire
to uplift our passions higher?
To fight against a devious liar
with those who burn a common fire?

Who are we without the one
as wild winds blow and rivers run?
Who are we without the one?
We are life without a sun.
