Mar 2015
I've been folding rough
and unwilling paper,
trying to make it beautiful,
a figurine for above my fireplace,
one for all to be seen.

I've been colouring its skin
turning it into a trophy
I would want to win.
And put on my cupboard
next to glasses I've assembled.

But water made my trophy fall apart
and fire burnt it straight through the heart.
Don't shape others
when you are not in shape yourself.
