The butterflies within my heart
Feel so very surreal
I never thought I'd see the day
That our love we both could feel.

It happened so fast; a couple of weeks
Almost like magic with a flick of the wrist.
I hear your compliments flow through my heart
When your love showers me like a never-ending mist.

You tried to coax my feelings out
Through you were the first to fall
Your personality outshines all others
I only could pick three words to tell: Handsome, dark and tall.

I've never felt this way before
And I mustn't tell a lie
